I was just listening to Theo Usherwood on LBC reporting how he was man handled at a Labour fringe meeting last night by someone expelled from the party for anti scemitism and who therefore shouldn’t have been allowed in. The event was some sort of group set up by Corbyn to deny anti scemitism within the party. I didn’t catch the end of it as lost the signal when I drove into the tunnel, so apologies if I have missed anything out. I feel sorry for Keir Starmer having to deal with Angela Raynor and these characters. Boris will be more than happy.

Labour have the opportunity to be the party of business, the Tories are finished in this area. This is a good start

they already against NI, disliked by business. could be this is their approach.

Following a card vote, the conference has passed a motion debated this morning criticising the new Australia/UK/US (Aukus) military alliance. The emergency motion, that described Aukus as a “dangerous move that will undermine world peace”, was passed by 70.35% to 29.65%.

This is an embarrassment for Sir Keir Starmer, who told MPs that Labour welcomed the Aukus announcement when Boris Johnson made a statement about it in the Commons earlier this month.

Agreed, it is a good policy. I heard some discussion of it on LBC. I think financed by taxes on online businesses. Rachel Reeves seems a highly impressive Shadow Chancellor.

wait, what if a) the online business is also a high street store, b) not based in the UK? ???

I wouldn't say I'm at Taliban level of zealotry but no doubt you'd find some of my views radical.

On day one of my reign I'd:

  • Nationalise utilities and public transport
  • Raise the top rate of tax to 85% for earnings over £135,000
  • Ban private education and healthcare
  • Quadruple council tax on second homes
  • Put the heads of Tory voters on pikes around constituency boundaries
  • Implement a land value tax
  • Eliminate tuition fees for further education
  • Ban religious schools
  • Behead all royals and aristocracy
  • Introduce UBI
  • Bring in 4 new public holidays and a four day working week

Eminently sensible policies that most would agree with :cute:

You would have to increase that figure - Trade Union leaders earn more than that. :)

At this stage all they need to be showing us is direction of travel. Plenty of time for details to emerge and be finalized pre election. At least someone in the party is doing some proper work as opposed to passing juvenile motions or insulting their opponents.

There’s at least 10 NSC bells that could be that little prick.

Earlier in the thread, didn’t you bemoan being ridiculed and abused (by what you call the “wokerati”) because of differing political views? ??? And here you are, calling people bells and pricks, because their political ideals don’t align with your own

Quite restrained I think, been some shocking abuse by the progressive left on NSC aimed toward those that voted to leave corruption of the EU.

Here are some other views of the tolerant left.

Seems a bit moderate, even the Tories under Osbourne introduced tax rates that meant those over 100k pay 62% in tax. Still some squeak left no doubt.

I mean, you’ve dodged the point re your own hypocrisy and you’ve, inadvertently I’m sure, negated to put the Tory MP who said a bomb should be planted in a Labour office.

Here are some other views of the tolerant left.

The first one is false, he compared the ERG to Nazis or South African apartheid in response to Rees-Mogg posting links to the AfG.

Neil Coyle I think is just sharing an opinion many people have about Piers Morgan.

You can find the John McDonnell recording on the web, but he was quoting / paraphrasing what was said by an audience at another meeting. In 2014.

I can't be arsed to look up what Jess Phillips did or didn't say to Owen Jones.

But you know, keep posting your propaganda! It's not like the Mail, Express, Sun, Telegraph need any help...:moo:

I’ll do you a deal, when I become an elected member of Parliament, I’ll reel in my language about pissy champagne socialists. Cheers x
