Couldn't see a thread specifically about him - what's the injury? Any idea if he'll be back for next Sat?

As long as he is back in time for palace, don't like the idea of facing them with Brez.

Poyet revealed Tomasz Kuszczak had a finger infection ahead of the game and second choice Casper Ankergren was injured in training on Thursday.

That meant a late call for Peter Brezovan.

He said of Kuszczak's injury: “We thought that in the last 24 hours it would settle down and be ready to go. But it didn’t.”

Feed him penicillin, morning, noon and night, as the thought of Brezovan in goal for the next couple of matches terrifies me.

Or hope the infection spreads to Brezovan and we have to bring in somebody like Cudicini for a month loan. Having said that could we not do that as an emergency loan anyway as we only have 1 fit keeper.

Only a few weeks ago people were wanting to get rid of Brezovan. It's a good job that we didn't. It's good that we have players like Brez & Painter who are prepared to wait for their chances without demanding to go out on loan. If you have Player watch Painter's interview today. He has a great attitude.

As per my previous post had he gone out on loan, being a keeper it would have been with an immediate call back or we would have brought one in on loan at short notice. They wouldn't have given TK until 2.00pm on the day of the match to decide his fitness.

Hey don't put down brezo, he was there and ready for last minute..

I remember when he first came to brighton first team, he looked good and done very well..
Just got dodgy later on, but kuszczak can be dodgy as well.

Kuszczak could of done better against wolves and Suarez goal hardly helping him in polands team

Do we care how he does for Poland, not one little bit, it is how he performs for us that matters to us, unless of course you are a Polish immigrant. Isnt that what Ankergren and Brezovan are paid for, as stand ins.

Finger infection or not we won with Pete in goal. Keep a winning side expect to see the pole on the bench on Saturday fighting for his place back. Or, thinking about it a little deeper,no, put him back in goal quickly.

Poyet may well keep the side together that won yesterday, but I do think- and hope- that he'll bring TK back if fit. He's different class to either of the other two keepers. Our defensive record isn't the best in the League for nothing.

Dunno why we're even considering the possibility of Gus keeping the same team of TK is fit next week!

If TK is fit for next Saturday, which Gus's comments give me every reason to think he will be, then surely he will play.

With no disrespect either to Brezovan or Ankergren, Kuszczak is a class apart from either of them and has been a key part of our defensive success this season.

Add to that the fact that Huddersfield's goal, which caused a bloody nervy finish to the game from our POV, was entirely Brezovan's fault and that we wouldn't have conceded it with Kuszczak in goal (I just couldn't see him letting the original effort get away from him as Brez did) and surely it's case closed.
