Interesting that he made two good saves and the we quickly scored two goals - shows how games can change very quickly.

Are you suggesting that his saves led us to score 2 goals. I think thats a serious case of clutching one of these bad boys!!

He's good enough for us, and the only ever-present this season.

I'm going to say kicking, because it is STILL shit. Any kind of backpass to him is inviting catastrophe too. Also his erratic handling and coming out for crosses, occasional lunatic rushes out of goal and tendency to blame anyone but himself for all of the above. He also seems to have an almost Jens Lehmann-esque propensity to get wound up, whether it be by our players, the opposition, officials, or fans of either team. These of course can then lead to the above taking place.

As several others have stated in the past, is it not telling that at some stage, every single manager at this club (bar possibly Hinshelwood) has preferred another keeper to him?

Pretty much agree with that though I'd also add dealing with balls coming straight at him from height, he does seem to delay his reaction at times which can sometimes put us into trouble. His kicking has improved from very poor to reasonable but it is not good by a long shot. Its a weakness he has always had and has never looked comfortable with the ball at his feet. His kicking from goal kicks is reasonable but because he is not comfortable is slow and methodical in taking them. Kicks from hand are reasonable for this level but often go straight up into the stratosphere before dropping down. Neither are specifically directed anywhere.

A good kicker will be comfortable with the ball at his feet and will be able to give it direction by aiming it towards one of out players in a particular position rather than just hoof the thing forward towards a certain area of the pitch.

Kuipers is adequate for this division, a good shot stopper, but saves are not the be all and end all of a keeper.

when he is in the form he has been for the last couple of months since the huddersfield game really i wouldnt swap him for anybody in this league but he hasn't been for the rest of the season he's looked very suspect at times.
just hope he finds form for longer periods next season
