Brighton goalkeeper Michel Kuipers is confident they can survive in the Championship now they are off the mark.
Mark McGhee's side earned their first point of the campaign with a home draw against Coventry after two straight defeats.
Kuipers reckons that result proved to everyone that Brighton have what it takes to stay up.
He told the club's website: "We know that we can stand on our own in this league now. It's always difficult after you've been promoted. First you have to try and consolidate.
"We certainly have the capability and motivation within the squad to stay up. We know what we have to do."
