Kuipers still has a part to play with all this talk about Hendo being the next biggest financial sale from this club.

I concur, but does he want to be here? after all agents dont tell themselves they want to move and to start looking for a new club do they?

So under that theory, why should Henderson come back in as 2 of the Crewe goals were due to his errors and his positioning for the free kick that Brentford scored was poor?

Thats debatable if they were his fault or down to bad luck tho, letting it roll between your legs isnt.

Kuipers a near veteran with a problematic injury record.

So has Hendo. His back/hip problem could end up being the same thing Ben Roberts had. He was out two or three times with that problem in his season with us and that was the most he had played for an entire year during his career.

Nothing to do with being behind two of the better Keepers in the Premiership at the time then?

He parried at 35 yard free kick to the forward of a striker, he missed a header which allowed the forward to score from and for the Brentford free kick he let the ball down the middle of the goal.

I know you do not like Kuipers, but Henderson has been at fault this season for a few of the goals. I think Henderson has the potential to be very good, but last season his confidence went and this season he is showing that there are some flaws in his game that need serious work done on them.

But he still had injury problems when he had a chance to become a first choice keeper at Middlesbrough.

Kuipers flapped two crosses in a row and let one fizz across about 4 yards out, you are telling me that that is much better?

Also did you notice against Crewe how none of the defenders reacted after the free kick? while at the other end the Crewe keeper did the same and a defender reacted first

The problem is you will pick on any fault that Kuipers makes however minor, where as in the last 2 home games, Hendersons decisions have been costly.

There is not much in it when it comes to the 2 of them, but in pre-season Kuipers was in the better form.

No id pick faults of Henderson - he can be too slow of his line yes. as can Kuipers.

But it doesnt seem Henderson can do any right in the views of some just because he his the correct number one.

as for pre season I have always said and maintain it means very very little

Back injuries tend to be long term and do not fully go away. In fairness to Kuipers his injuries have been freak ones. I would guess that if he gets another serious one it will be hard to come back from. However he does not get reaccuring injuries.

Which can be worse, as it means they have weakness all over.

To me it is not that Henderson can do no right it is more his actions have proved costly in recent games.

However he will be back in the side on Saturday.

He seems to have come back from the shoulder one OK and I must say I thought that one might be the end of him.

He played the second half of last season and did not get injured. If Henderson is getting back issues, this is something that could well haunt his for his career.

I concur about the back, but the shoulder will take an equal pounding - I guess we will see how good the Albion treatment is!

It is interesting that there is so much debate and entrenched opinions on this matter. For my money Kuipers is the better keeper - he makes match-winning saves while Henderson is more error-prone.

The reason people get angry is once again McGhee ignores form and sticks with his mad theories and pet players (e.g Hammond). McGhee is the real cause of all the dissent - not a battle between two decent goalies. I am sure both are good guys. McGhee has lost control, has no strategy and his taking the club down and down. Dick Knight must act.

Yeah, that could happen but at least we wouldn't part with Hendo if at least the money was right. Then, yes, we would have to go out and get a new keeper. We would gain with the money.

My nightmare scenario is that we mess Hendo about enough that he leaves early, at the start of his international career while his price is still relatively low. Then we are left with Kuipers who will then get injured. Then we have two inexperienced keepers and very little money.

I am very surprised that people think that we can keep them both happy in the long-term. There are some parallels with the Roberts-Kuipers battle but that situation at least made some sense as both had patchy injury records. But if Roberts had stayed fit, does anyone really think Kuipers would still be here?
