We shouldn't sign someone simply as backup. Both Murray and Forster should not be guaranteed a starting berth and we would be ill advised to sell the club to the player, telling him that he will be benchwarming.

Very much doubt that we can afford a genuine class striker to come here and challenge those two. Those that we can afford will have to settle as back up to two quality strikers imo.

He would make a perfect addition for Forster as i don't expect him to play 90 mins, every game going.

A decent back up striker could well be playing most games as a sub and plenty of full games to cover injuries, tiredness or suspensions

now going to Bristol Rovers!

Bournemouth striker Jo Kuffour could be on his way to League One side Bristol Rovers after submitting a transfer request, BBC Radio Solent understands.

The West Country club are believed to have stepped up their efforts to sign the Cherries hitman in time for Saturday's game against Hereford.

Bournemouth rejected a bid from the Pirates for Kuffour, 26, while they were in administration.

But Rovers are believed to have tabled a new bid of around £60,000.
