MATCH-WINNER Anthony Knockaert reckons Albion have the team spirit for another promotion push.
And their French star will happily accept any more gifts that come his way.
Knockaert saw his tame-looking shot fumbled into his own net by Danny Ward in the 80th minute as the Seagulls beat leaders Huddersfield 1-0.
He has a habit of scoring goals against the Terriers, dating back to his Leicester days.
While this one was not the best, he felt it might just have been among the most precious.
Knockaert said: “It’s not the best goal I’ve scored in my career but it was the perfect time for us to score.
“I’m really happy to bring the three points.
“But it’s not just about the goal. Everyone worked so hard and you could see we have a real team spirit – and that’s important to win games.
“I was just hoping it would go in. It will help us for the future.”
Albion bounced back from defeats at Newcastle and at home to Brentford.
Knockaert said: “It was an important win. We needed three points after two defeats.
“The only thing we need to remember is the three points.”
Huddersfield boss David Wagner said: “I cannot say this 1-0 is an unfair result. They had more clear goal chances.
“I have no complaints with Danny (Ward). Mistakes are part of this game.
“I have a positive feeling because we can now say we can compete with the best teams in the division away from home.”
