Knight deal with QPR looks doomed

I have a pretty reliable source at QPR who informs me that Leon was at the training ground yesterday and was in talks with Holloway for 30 mins, but everything about the body language when he left said that there was no chance of a deal.

Holloway, who normally spends the whole time on the training ground, then spent the rest of the day locked in his office. The consencious was that he was sat there on the phone trying to get players, seeing that the Knight deal wasn't going to happen.

The more I think about this the more I believe it will come down to which manager is going to be best for Leon.

Sir Stevie or Ollie the Wally - Difficult eh

I have also heard of a conversation with Simon Rodger where he said Leon has settled in really well, great banter between him and the other players, he's a cocky kid who seems very happy here. He is a big admirer of SC, and Simon reckons there in "no footballing reason" for him to go to QPR. He thinks he would only chose them if they make him an offer "out of the ordinary".

Judging by the news from my QPR source, the offer from QPR wasn't sufficient, and he'll join us.

For a club just out of administration a big offer would probably be out of the question.

Here's hoping!

Just out of administration BUT Langley went for £750k and Holloway has been given £250k of it to spent.

There are rumours that he has got more, but coming just days after they axed the academy due to lack of funds it would have been sticking two fingers up at all the kids who have been released to then say we'll spend half a million on a couple of players.

Hope your right. When will we know if he signs? Today? Next week?

Depends where you get the news.
You'll find it here on the day it happens.
The club site? Now that's another story.

Hope this is true

Dunno that I'm afraid. My best source is the QPR one, who is basically saying their deal looks dead in the water.

comeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeon!

Somebody sort this out!!!

PS it also has to do with who offers his agent the "nicest" package. Agents can be very persuasive (it's that old Spurs carthorse Mitchell Thomas), not that I'm suggesting they ever act in anything other than their clients' best interests.

Isn't he spending that on Kevin McLeod?

Again, according to my source at QPR, they are picking McLeod up for a "nominal fee".

That's common knowledge although there is something fishy about it as he was originally rated at 300k.

They've got money. Enough.

BUT....they are not pushing the boat out for Knight as we are.

Dick Knight's ego will not take another blow.
