Trust me Kipre is a very good player.

He looks very average.

Kev also said that Hammond is (and I quote) dreadful, so I don't think he will be getting a job in scouting!

Hammond has been dreadful recently. Ive been saying the same thing.

There is a difference between form and ability. He has the ability and he has certainly picked up, now that him and Chippy have been split up. He is young for a central midfielder and he plays a valuable role in the team.

I forgot that shooting is the most important part of a midfielders game. :bigwave:

Of course it is, when ever he gets the ball outside the box he doesn't shoot. He normally looks for the pass, this is because he couldn't hit cow arse with a banjo. His finishing is totally diabolical.

Oh yeah a wave back to you. :bigwave:

I agree, Im just saying that Hammond has been dreadful recently. Seems to be getting it back now without Chippy.

Goalscoring/shooting is NOT the most important part of a midfielders game. He has now been given a bit more space to roam and move forward, so we shall see....

Besides, if he doesn't shoot and looks to pass, how can you say his shooting is diabolical?

Last Season he cost us so many games, we where leading games and Hammond had chances to put us in control, but he didn't score any of his chances.

He went through a shocking spell when a sitter always fell to him and to put it away would of meant 3 points. He's never looked to of really had the confidence since

As did many of our players. Our top scorer got six goals! We were not exactly hitting the net left, right and centre - which is highly understandable when we were relegation favourites.

If you have been going to watch Brighton recently and you still label Hammond as dreadful, then you can't be paying attention. We will just have to agree to disagree.

Totally agree with that.

But does that mean he is dreadful?! You agreew with Dougal that he went through a 'shocking spell', yet you are saying that he IS dreadful.

Basil Fawlty said:
Good effort, but I'm not sure how Dean Hammond ever got spotted by our scouts.

His shooting and finishing is dreadful to watch, his tackling and passing is in-consistent or even non-exisitant at times. He does alot of puffing and running around, doesn't show any skill on the ball.

Hammond is dreadful. IMO.

Yes I have been going to watch us recently, never miss a home match.

I think Hammond's actually been *slightly* better recently ... there's talent in there somewhere, I reckon a new holding midfielder might bring it out of him. Chippy's probably had his day in the role. Likewise, a new winger would relieve some of the pressure on him.
