Brighton manager Dean Wilkins has revealed his doubts over the fitness of trialist Jean-Marcial Kipre.
The former Paris St Germain defender has impressed in training with the Seagulls and has also played in a reserve and friendly match.
Wilkins told the Brighton Argus: "We need to be as thorough as we can when we bring somebody in.
"We need to sit down and talk to his agent and we need to get fitness details from his previous club.
"He is quick. I understand in tests he did 40 metres in something like five seconds.
"But I felt watching him his endurance and stamina were not as good as they could have been."

Fitness can be worked on. We need to know if he has any skill... pace isn't vital for a defender.

He came as a right back but the club are trying him in midfield.

Very small. so poor in the air, poor tackler, not bad going forward very quick, but wouldn't rave over him too much.

Why? Have we got the money to take a chance that he may be good enough for the first team?

This sounds like Turienzo, Molango situation again.

To my mind anybody who we give a contract to has got to be good enough to be knocking on the first team door immediately, or be under 18 and another one for the future.

Trust me Kipre is a very good player.

Depends where he plays, if he is a full back he does, having seen Kerry skined endlessly by pace over the past ten years shows this.
