Swindon Town boss Andy King is convinced his players can overturn Brighton's 1-0 play-off semi-final lead when they visit Sussex on Thursday. Town suffered a home defeat in yesterday's first leg, but King is confident his team can still win the tie and reach the Cardiff final.
The Robins were the better side and hit the woodwork twice before suffering a sucker-punch when Brighton's only shot on goal was deflected in.
"I feel we are the better team and if they have come here and won 1-0 why can't we go there and do the same or even better?" King said.
"I felt we were the only team that tried to get the ball down and get it wide and play in the right manner.
"And If they are honest enough, they have had a fluke - their goal was a deflection. My players know they should have got something out of today and we will not give up.
"The one thing Mark McGhee will be very aware of is that my team has got goals in it.
"He knows the tie is not over, I know it's not over - it's just been made a little bit more difficult for us.
"We have hit the bar and should have scored through Tommy Mooney's (35th minute) header but we haven't had that little bit of luck.
"We thought Mooney would have scored but it's hard to concentrate on the ball when you've got 12 studs coming flying towards you."
And King started the mind games by suggesting Brighton would be the side under pressure on Thursday.
"Everyone thinks we're out of it so the pressure is on them to perform at home and they can't sit any deeper than they have today," King said.
"They're the favourites now so the nerves will be on them and we will see how brave they are at home."
Town midfielder David Duke will have an X-ray today after suffering a gash on the back of his leg from a Leon Knight foul.
However, Swindon hope to have injured midfielder Stef Miglioranzi back for the second leg.
