Of course it would be - if you run a knife along your skin, it would peel, so why would this be different? In fact, this is DESIGNED for the job!

right, im going to test it then - im certain that a potato peeler would not be able to make that first incesion in order to peel

my results are that if you push hard enough, you can GRAZE the skin as if you caught your knee falling off a bike - it would take a LUDICROUS amount of time and pressure though to actually be able to peel a mans skin off

Could you not stab it into you in order to make a cut, and then get peeling?

The lip skin is weaker - once the lip is removed, you would have the perfect wound to begin peeling

Seeing as you can quite easily kill someone with an object as blunt and inoffensive as a rolled up newspaper (aim for the throat) I would imagine a potato peeler to be far more dangerous, sharpen the edges on the bottom one in the picture and you would probably have a lethal weapon.
