Fifa have given Dynamo Kiev a 3-0 victory against Roma after that nasty incident last week. they have also been ordered to play the next 2 home games behind closed doors

not for Kiev getting the points but for the fact that if it was an English side then the country would have probably ben kicked out of Europe again

should be out along with all other italian clubs

I think that would be a little harsh, although it did happen to us.

I think if stuff like this happens again in the future, the club involved SHOULD automatically get kicked out of the competition and SHOULD not be able to play in any European games for the next 5 or so years.

Did they ever catch the bloke who did it?

have not seen anything mentioned about them catching him but as Glenn Hoddle pointed out at the time they have him on telly and he was in the VIP area so must be known to the club

i think that is a good decision. a few years ago an english club would have been kicked out for this but not now. fifa have begun to realise it is a problem within football in general not just england. although i do believe that a certain turkish club have been lucky to not have been kicked out of competitions in the past.
maybe the only reason they did not get kicked out of past comps was because both times the opposition was english. :nono:

No it won't, the Italian clubs would NEVER be chucked out of European competitions, especially one the size of Roma.

They'll keep getting away with it. The hooligan problem in Italy is massive but because they're never naughty away from home they keep on getting away with it.

What is worse is that teams like Lazio and Roma allow the hooligans to have a say in the running of the club. They also let them stand in the VIP area which is why this has happened in the first place.

Don't think anyone would argue with that mate. this just goes to highlight the inconsistancy of UEFA and how it seems that the punishment seems to depend on what country you are form

Hmmmm.....

Careful folks, lets not be swept away by this.

How would we have reacted if the Football League awarded Orient victory against us when Ray Wilkins was kicked up the arse in 1997. The extra point lost would have meant that we would have been relegated and the chances are would have no club to support today.

But the fact is that Italian clubs do much worse things on a regular basis but through the power of the Italian FA and the fact that incidents only happen at home with these countries (all manner of shit goes on all around Europe). Dropping a scooter onto a load of fans FFS.

I am on about the fact that they have got a history of causing trouble as metioned by Chapmans the saviour above and the fact they started a riot against Lazio last year due to a "rumour" that the police had knocked over a supporter.

understand now:p
