Just going off subject here (kind of) for a moment, does anyone know where the nearest pick up point would be for my wife to pick me up as I don't think I will be able to take the trains with these kidney stones and all that! Cheers folks!

if you have the stone smashed by ultra sound it normally results in you pissing blood clots shortly after and you still get a bit of renal cholic after shock, i had a stent fitted and pissed THE STENT OUT AND NOT THE STONE 3 DAYS LATER

Hmmm that's an interesting one thony. I think I might give my doc a call to discuss the urine sample test results as they came back fine, would they have checked for protein do you think or just for an infection?

As you say the doctor thought it might be kidney stones and he's done a urine check, I was presuming that he WOULD have checked for protein. (I think my doctor put in a stick with several indicator strips on it, hence checking a number of common tests at the same time.) If you speak to him and he HASN'T ruled out his suspicion of kidney stones, I'd ask him to refer you for xray if you still have pain in the lower back. When my doctor doctor initially asked me if I was in pain and I said, "No," he told me that if I said I was in pain I would move to the top of the xray priority list, so to come back to him immediately if I did start feeling any pain.

Right I am now awaiting to hear when my scan date will be. I have also recently found out that pomegranate juice can be helpful in this situation.
Please, please, please let it be ok for tomorrow!!!!!!!!
