People on here are having a pop at Mayo because he had a poor game today but so did Butters and Rehman and it was only when Elphick came on as centre back and allowed Rehman to go to Right Back did we look ok defensively. But as Silent Bob said earlier it is a worry that it took Wilkins and White 70 minutes to realize what we all saw within 10 minutes.

I believe that we will need to make a number of changes if we are going to be a force next season.

I agree with what you say, but don't you feel the Mayo reaction is a build-up from months, if not years, of poor performances. Butters and Rehman have generally been ok, so they're more likely to avoid the stick after the odd poor game.

Mayo has been a 'hate figure' of sorts since i started posting on this board 7 years ago.

Every manager we've had since then has played him, and renewed his contract.

Mayo is being hard done by here because he is Mayo. Some people choose to ignore the obvious fact that he was ridiculously out of position and label him as 'crap' regardless.

No, I just have a select group that I rotate each week! In all fairness, my harsh words this season have only found their way towards Mayo, El Abd, and Henderson on any sort of consistent basis. You, on the other hand, don't even think the manager's up to the job

Yes, I did, and I commented on it as being a fair post. I was only winding you up about Wilkins! I don't have a problem with anyone having ANY opinion they like, and you make some good points against Wilkins which I have often enjoyed debating with you, whereas I have simply reserved judgement until next season. The problem tonight has been that some people have taken exception to others having an opinion. Whether you think Mayo's shit or not, whether you think Wilkins is the right man or not, my point is that we do not need to abuse each other for it.

I haven't joined in that debate. My posts have been regarding Mayo and Wilkins.
