Not what we need and probably bollock. Move along

Really? The guys averages a goal every 90 minutes for Man City, but you think he is not what we need. However you are right that it is probably bollocks.

However it would make a lot of sense, Judging by our reported interest in JC and MB, we can extrapolate some of the criteria the club is using to identify the type of player they are targeting, and Iheanacho meets a lot of them:

Holds a Euro passport or meets foreign import criteria (A player must have player for his country in at least 75% of its competitive A team matches of which he was available for selection, during the two years preceding the date of the application. The player’s country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings when averaged.)
Not a target man (height between 1.7m - 1.85m
Skilful, agile and quick (To compliment TH or BZ)
Aged between 22-25, (OK, he is a bit young at 19)
Prolific goal scorer, approx. 1 in 2 goals to game ratio. (He scores averages a goal every 90 mins.)
Price no more than $10,000,000 (approx. £7,000,000) (Doesn't matter if only a loan)
Potential to improve and offer increased resale value (see above)
Not an established household name (yet)
Available for transfer (not injured and wanting more game time)

So he might be a under consideration, but the player associated with Man City I would go for, and fits the criteria is John Guidetti. Formerly of City (sent on loan to Celtic) and now at Celta Vigo. He managed 20 goals in 23 games during a 2011-12 loan spell at Feyenoord when he was 19. Although his once impressive 1 in 2 stats have tailed off, perhaps he is another player who hasn't trained on and reached his full potential. Could be all fart and no poo, but was once touted as the next big thing. He has the potential to be stunning in the Championship and would not look out of place in the Premier League.
