I would keep it as it helps to distinguish the gimps from the regulars who are on the main trustworthy ( We know who the exceptions are to the above rule).

Keep it and hope that people stop posting a million and one threads about the same topic

Keep it. Doesn't do any harm.

I would prefer it if people would look to see if someone has already posted on a subject before creating a new thread. I try to but don't tend to go past 2 pages (which can sometimes only be a couple of hours on a busy day)

My pet hate? People who Post giving the impression that they have some news.

eg There may be a new thread with a Heading of "Transfers" or "New Seats". You drill down to a message that simply asks "any news?"

Particularly galling when a thread half way down the page has already answered the question!

Just realised that when I'm at home (i.e. not down the pub) then I play alot of Championship Manager 4, whilst waiting for it to load after games or during matches I stay in here and reply to most threads (thus upping my post count), especially when its quiet its like having a conversation with the few of you that are one-line right now!

Maybe we should congregate in the chat room :D

Are people really so sad that their measure of success in life is the number of posts that they make? How about changing it to show the average number of posts made per day and/or the average number of hours spent logged in each day. Some people (CAFC Matt knows who he is) would get a shock if this was shoved in their faces.

I can see the argument for dropping the post count but I think that those who can't help themselves will continue to post anyway.

Keep the post count I say-until I reach 1000 anyway :D

What happened to the yellow and red cards - they were far more exciting.

Hey leave CAFC Matt alone. He's a really good bloke!

I think we have our answer though. Post Count stays.

I'm not disputing that but he has had a tendency to post in every thread regardless of whether what he posts is interesting/witty/relevant to the thread.
