We're not a big championship club. We might be aiming to be and be on our way.... but atm we are not. But if we buy 2 flats, what if we loan 4 players, do we buy another 2? because then what if we only loan 1 after that and 3 go unused, waste of money. Renting is the only logical choice, and i'm sure we can find some decent rentable properties that would be just as good as flats we could buy but we wouldn't have to commit hundreds of thousands if not the odd million quid on them.

well lets buy one and go from there im sure one would always be in use and would be a good investment in any case
im not moaning i just want the club to be as good and big as it can be and surly we must have letting agents amongst the fan quite close to tb in fact i know there is so a place to rent should be easy to find not take three week or more

1. It's not that many.
2. I believe earlier you called someone a JCL in a derogatory way? Now you're using the so-called 'JCLs' to justify your claims.... hmmmmmmmm.
3. We've just come up from League 1 (albeit Champions), so we can't be considered a 'big' championship team until we've played a couple of seasons in the league and done fairly well, no matter how large our current fan base is
4. we have no local rivals - by local i mean same city - so no one who attract thousands of fans away from us

Look, i'm hoping just as much as you that we push on and become a big championship team, but at the moment we aren't... not quite yet.

We haven't sold twice as many season tickets as Portsmouth or a few thousand more than Wolves, our ground doesn't even hold enough people for that to be possible.

Also in the past the club did have some flats for loan/new players when they moved to the area, i've not heard of them getting rid of them. How do you know some of our other new signings like Hoskins, Bergkamp, CMS or Buckley aren't currently using them and this is the reason KLL finds himself in a hotel? Still any reason to have a go at the club.

I can google how many season tickets Portsmouth have sold, however you stated they'd sold over 11,000 and we sold double that. That is impossible, your statement about us selling twice the number of tickets Pompey have, using the figures you quoted is quite simply false. Our ground only holds 22,500 and 2,500 of those seats are for away fans, it's basic mathematics and with only 20,000 seats (approx) for home fans we cannot have sold double what Pompey have using the figures you quoted.

The club provide the housing as it's needed, those players I mentioned will be using it while they sort out something more permanent. After that KLL can have it if he isn't already sorted himself.

I'm sure I've tried to say the same thing on several different threads.
Last season we had 4500 season ticket holders, this season 18000.

During our last season at the goldstone our average attendance was below 6000

So where have 12000 fans come from.

So before we start planning for more seats let's proove that we can fill the ones we have.

I've come back home.
It is my understanding that the club provide a signed player possible rentals / sale properties if the player needs it (normally for the younger or foreign players). The famous instance of this is when Caldie signed and took the flat that Gus was going to get. I am not sure about loanee's but i do remember hearing that some long contract players and staff have had younger/long loan players stay with them to help them settle and ensure they are looked after.

Prove to who? You?

We use to get gates of 30k+ in the 70s and 80s, we have a chairman who wants to push this club on to the big time, not consolidate his lot.

As people have said, build it and they will come. We already have a big waiting list already for Season Tickets, get the seats in and not mess about!! It is currently lost revenue and money we don't want to be losing, these people that can't get in now might not come back, but if they do come then they may be Albion fans for life. In my opinion it is an easy choice, no? What is better a couple of thousand empty seats or people locked out? ? ?

Spot on and at the moment there is definitely a massive buzz about our club and I have been asked by loads of casual premier league armchair fans how they can get tickets for Albion games. We have the potential to grab loads of these floating fans and get them interested in the club. Get the seats in and fill the place onwards and upwards
