Correct. There was a good piece in the Torygraph this week, quoting those specific reasons.
The Bundesliga actually has the highest attendances in Europe - higher than here as they have more teams with big stadiums - Dortmund/Bayern/Schalke/Hertha etc.. Great atmosphere, low ticket prices, but they're having a problem competing in the European competitions...
anyway, i read somewhere that german clubs are seeing really high profits, because they spend a very small % of their turnover on wages
Would that be 3 posts up you read that?
Sorry, couldn't resist

Ticket prices? I think I watched a program a while back, and it explained that prices in Germany were a fraction of what they are for example in the UK
It's not just Germany. I read an article a couple of years ago about ticket pricing across Europe and we really are rip-off Britain. At the time, the cheapest season ticket at Juve was about £120!!! Seriously.
Attendances for home games in Serie A this season (all played at the Stadio Olimpico, capacity 27,500):-I was under the impression that hardly anybody went to watch Juve at home anyway, given that the Stade Delle Alpi was so far out of town.
Udinese 20,320
Catania 22,053
Palermo 22,495
Torino 22,114
Roma 21,700
Genoa 24,463
The price at Gladbach maybe because they are seats? Were there cheaper terrace tickets? (they can be hard to get with season ticket holders etc.)
Was at the Mestalla on Saturday night, Valencia V Sporting Gijon - Sat up in the gods, but only €20 each! Crackin match, absolute bargain. Valencia also building a new stadium, looks amazing, no idea how to add a picture, perhaps one of you can find one and post it up.

Woh, that looks amazing Ed.
But surely there will be several Public Enquiries, an area of Architectural Beauty, of European Significance? Comon, get De Vechi out there

That's possibly because Turin is nearer to BRIGHTON than PALERMO.Italians love their football, they just can't be bothered to travel all the way from Sardinia and Sicily to the Delle Apli to watch it!
The cheapest adult price I can see is €130 - say £105 - for 18 games.Ed might be able to correct me but I'm sure Milan selling season tickets at something stupid like €30.00 for this season.
