BHA are well versed in discounting other viable options to Falmer, it's our forte isn't it?
This plays into our hands in my mind and the NIMBY'S must be crapping themselves knowing they've got to get their arses in gear and put the sort of work into this that we've been putting in for years.

I can't help but think JP knows this.

Any agreements?

Oh yes, we get to play NIMBY for a change. Cool or what!!!

Seriously though, we do need to ensure that potential objectors to each of the sites are fully aware of the reasons why their site is unsuitable.

The list of reasons why sites are unsuitable is now out of date in some respects. We need to ensure that is updated and comprehensive in relation to the criteria set by the ODPM before campaigning can start in earnest.

Thank you Lord B and LI. You have answered my question thoroughly.

Just arming myself with all the ammunition for the arguments to come.

I know there's a shuttle bus from the station; I've used it. But surely if a shuttle bus counts as 'sustainable transport' then we could have the same at Sheepcote. In which case, Sheepcote does have sustainable transport links.

Stretching a point further than the WMD intelligence surely. 23,000 people on a shuttle bus service? You'd have the usual suspects leaving their seats after five minutes, or possibly during the pre-match warm-up to beat the queues to the buses home.

I think it is 100% definite that JP accepts that we need a stadium - somewhere - and that the inspectors' reports will be disregarded if it can be proved (as we believe it will be, again) that Falmer is the only viable site. If, magically, one of the other sites is proved to be better, we will get irrevocable permission there.

So we will get our stadium, and the decision will be final and irrevocable. The worst case scenario is that it's somewhere other than Falmer - but as we know everything we have ever heard says that's not possible.

As I have said on another thread, I believ that it is the inevitablity of direct political opposition in Brighton & Hove at the next General Election which has concentrated JP's mind rather than short term Party Conference considerations.
