It’s the go to argument blaming a right wing media ..ignoring of course that there is a left wing section who are never wrong …🤦‍♂️
Perhaps because the right wing media are in bed with big corporations and frame the debate in a way that people who exercise their right to protest and have concerns about the future of our exsistence are marginalised and not like ordinary people to turn the public against them. The rest of the time they constantly bang on about freedom of speech, presumably because they know their audience are too dim to see through them and their constant hipocracy

Perhaps …it’s not recognising that the left have their own agenda as well .but of course that’s not up for debate

I’m on with work now …shouldn’t you be out blocking a road somewhere 😏

I hope these protestors are proud of themselves. The extra fuel used to power the vacuum to clean up their latest little stunt is probably the turning point.

They can go home happy that they personally have contributed directly to the endtimes.

Absolute morons, and I hope they are suitably punished with custodial sentences.

This is true. But then “ordinary people” sit back while our government allows big corporations to defile and plunder our fragile eco-system.

And I include myself in the “ordinary people” category.
All they are asking for is a halt on all new fossil fuel exploration in the UK, seems pretty sensible to me.

We're out of time, they're be on the right side of history, not those that introduce authoritarian laws to stop protest

They aren’t interested in stopping oil. They are just interested in getting their moment of fame; causing a nuisance to people trying to get to work on time, or look at a flower show, or watch a game of snooker. Their only joy in life is being a full time professional victim. They don’t give a toss about the environment, it’s just something to protest about and take out their anger on the world.

Their sole aim is to make life that little bit more miserable for working people.

What's grown up about a Suffregette throwing themself in front of a horse?
nothing. it was senseless and did not meaningfully advance that cause. real change happened years later due to real discussion, not stunts. with this issue change is already happening, it wont happen to JSO self-imposed timetable.

The question I ask is what in it for them? The answer is no personal gain at all, I agree with their publicity and support their financial backers. But personally I wouldn't have the guts or the desire for that level of sacrifice. Once you have a criminal record or even a caution life gets harder, especially if you are young and have your life ahead of you.

Have they stopped any oil yet? Will they stop any? No and No. Utterly pointless middle class Karen and Bobs who have the time and money to waste their time irritating the shit out of everyone else. Does anyone truly believe these strokers don't use cars or other vehicles, don't make use of products derived from oil in their everyday lives? Its grade A virtue signalling at its finest.

Pointless protesting. 1 life. Live it. We happen to have been born during unstoppable climate change. Good luck anyone believing the 8billion people will selflessly act as one.

Exploiting petro chemicals isn’t a left versus right issue. Only the Greens have consistently pushed for a different way. The other parties talk the talk. I don’t remember Royal Dutch Shell or BP having a hard time under Blair/Brown, or the North Sea oil industry. Little changed.

I don’t get your meaning, please explain?
The UK is 1% ish of global emissions. China and Russia are far,far worse. That’s the biggest problem to climate change etc.

China and Russia don’t award oil, gas and coal licences to energy companies in the UK though.

The protest is to stop any new non-renewable energy projects starting in the UK.

The argument I keep hearing that they should protest in other countries completely misses the point. They are protesting to affect this country’s policies.

The prisons are already full and don’t have enough room, plus it costs tax payers money.

There are politicians accepting donations from fuel companies who are advocating ripping up solar panels saying the land is needed for agriculture or fracking.
This ignores the fact that land is graded and solar farms are placed on fields with the lowest grade, which is only suitable for grazing sheep, and the sheep don’t mind.
Don’t believe politicians advocating anti protests until you look a bit deeper into their motives, and bank balances.

Not normally a Morgan fan but his recent interviews on gender and these protesters are brilliant - they literally cannot answer and don’t like anyone having different views to them. Fair play.
Mate if you wanna see someone destroying people in debate, with simple facts of course, switch over to BBC and watch the master - Mick Lynch. No petty arguing

I’d have to have an interest in it. I think climate change is an important issue and believe we are, as a world, trying to make some decent changes. It’s not my specialist subject and I can’t change it at all so leave it to those that can and scientists who are decent and don’t have an agenda. I also have an interest in people protesting by annoying others’, stopping them working or getting medical treatment - as i think it’s ludicrously selfish.

You have to watch the debates to form opinions - your quote earlier shows you haven’t bothered as you called Morgan a ‘climate change denier’ when he’s actually the opposite. Here lies the problem - it’s all assumptions from your lot and ‘right wing press’ bollocks when you don’t actually watch the debates or listen to the actual words! Always a mind made up before watching anyone disagreeing - that’s the facts here for me with all due respect.
