Just seen a top of the range Bentley parked up the top of my road with the number plate...

Our new manager. People have finally got sick of Gus' monstrous failings and we've plumped for Dave Bassett to rescue our season.

I love the way this is slowly but surely turning into a 'who are we about to sign'.

I see loads of nice cars with private plates on every day and i doubt any of them have anything to do with football.

I used to work with a guy who bought 1 RH for £250k incl VAT. The price only went that high because there was someone else after the plate and he was determined not to be beaten. #moremoneythansense

Don't get too excited, it's just Darren Balkham. Plate used to be on his 1999 Citroen Saxo, but all the overtime from trips to Middlesbrough & Blackpool persuaded him to splash out on something a little more comfortable recently.

Ah yes. Marti Pellow. If ever there was a fella who let the big time get to him it was wee Marti.

The only thing I remember about Marti Pellow was that he was born in a toilet in Clydebank. That, and the fact that he was shite, obviously.

On the number plate front, there used to be a car near where I lived in Newcastle with the registration DON 1. God knows what that was worth but it seemed pretty clear the owner had spunked all his money on the plate, because the car was a clapped out Mitsubishi Space Wagon, parked out front of an unremarkable council semi.

Worth way into six figures. Probably belongs to Darren Balkham (sp?), the Sussex Police / Albion co-ordination officer.

The police are very well paid these days I'm told.

I inquired some years back for "JUL1E" for the missus and "MAR71N" for me one was £175k the other was unavailable

I'd guess that "1 DB" would be £250k ish

Didn't he do a shed load of heroin or something as well? I seem to remember that anyway.

Also, aren't all Bentleys owned by footballers?
