and inevitably the conversation was around our upcoming fixture.

Am extremely proud to say that the Liverpool supporters that I met are massively excited about playing us in the cup, visiting the Amex etc.

Also a few of them reckoned we could well give them a run for their money (which of course everybody on here already knows we can).

I for one cannot wait to welcome them with open arms, and then send them crashing out of the cup!

Hatrick for Nooney will do nicely too.:D:D:D

I fully expect them to beat us, but I don't think we'll make it easy for them. 2-1 or 3-2 to Liverpool would be my guesses. Mind you, anything seems to possible at the moment!

Should be a good day for everyone though.

Remember the two games against them in the FA Cup in Jan '91? The replay, nicely poised at two apiece going into extra time, was described as a 'rattling good cup tie' by commentator Barry Davies. I expect this to be more of the same.

a "rattling good cup tie" is exactly what the doctor ordered.

This is such a great time to be an Albion fan it is unreal. Just thinking about the club makes me smile (which has not always been the case)

I seem to remember that we had a Mikey Small back header which would have won us the game ruled out for off side even though replays later showed he was onside, however no-one ever seems to ever mention this, did it happen in the Anfield tie ? or at all somewhere else? or is my memory playing tricks?

Same here. Hopefully the majority of Albion fans show their usual (high) class both online and on the night,
and save the hatred for other much-mooted opponents.

Do I spend 600 quid on flights back for Liv/Leeds? Don't think I can stretch to Palace day off wise!

Indeed.

Positive about our club and not negative about others is the way forward (save for a certain opposition that is)

It was at the Goldstone. I seem to remember one of our other goals was offside and shouldn't have been given though.

Don't want to risk injuries against Liverpool with an important League match 2 days later - better rest a few first teamers, so...

Anks
Vincelot / Greer / Dunk / Taricco
Navs / Buckley / Dicker / Lua Lua
Hoskins / CMS

7 of Brez / Calde / Paints / Bridcutt / Vicente / Harley / Noone / Barnes could then form the strongest bench EVER seen at a BHAFC match...!

We might only win by the one goal...

This does show how light we currently are at the back.

I take it we are going for the patented Keggie Keeeegan approach of 'we can score one more than you'.

I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them - and that says everything about far the Albion have come recently :albion2:

If I remember correctly in the replay at the Goldstone we were disallowed a perfectly good goal for offside, yet at Anfield at least one or both of rushes goals were offside. We are as the Liverpool fans say a bogey team to them, and long may it continue.
