But I guess if they are just doing pointless crosses to no-one - there is no real reason to stop it. It's harmless.

Goal didn't come that way.

Second half their widemen taking the piss out of Lamptey and Estupinan found support down the middle, the equaliser was coming, we fell apart to Stains counters. Thank fck for the offside.

I don't think he's one of the worst managers in the league, whatever Swansman says.

But he's definitely got the same bollocks trait against lower league opposition as Potter and to an extent De Zerbi.

Trust the process hahahaha. Trust those shite subs against the worst team in the league

Crap against bottom 3 at home!
As I said in the Match thread, we had that problem under RDZ and Potter too.

As Hürzeler keeps saying to the players, don’t focus on the long term results but individual performances - tonight, the team had one eye on results and took an eye off the ball.

Let’s not fall into the same trap either - Southampton may be at the bottom but they were promoted after an excellent season - there’s no one in the Premier League that doesn’t deserve to be there - we are just as ‘guilty’ as the players in getting all heady and ahead of ourselves when we’ve beaten a few top sides and go into these matches with bottom of the table teams thinking we deserve to win. We don’t. We have to work 90 mins for it and tonight we didn’t.

Weiffer and Dunk really put the shits up them. He clearly doesn’t rate Enciso who is class at running at players and getting shots off to test that forth choice keeper. Also never take Pedro off how many times has banged in a late winner.

….Martin gives his version on the bbc website…wasn’t happy that Fabian was apparently trying to get Southampton players booked….i think they did enough of that themselves, the tit!
Downes shouldn't have still been on the pitch. Martin knew that, which is why he subbed him off.

Everton apart under RDZ it was normally wave after wave of attack, we beat Wolves like 6-0, Sheffield Utd 5-1 or something tonight we lost the second half. I think we all know under RDZ and this squad we probably win most of those against Wolves, Ipswich and Southampton. And he trusted Enciso to do the business and was usually right.
FH seems to like a 1-0 win we didn’t get going second half and with defensive subs at 1-1 wtf was that about get attackers on he took them off.

Doesn’t seem to matter who the manager is - Potter, RDZ, Hurzeler - it just seems to be what happens in those games we’re expected to win.

We’ve seen that game so many times over the past 4 years or so.
Sorry, but if I have read you right, you are saying we are cursed when playing that sort of team?

I believe the manager has a squad and he knows all the things he needs to know to beat a side like Southampton, he has to be better at making the strategic decision than he was in that second half.
Fab looks the type to analyse the match and find a solution he can add to his locker for a later date.
Let's hope he can, I still feel very flat by that second half performance.

Roberto De Zerbi would have been at the dentist for a month if we had sold Billy Gilmour and Pascal Gross and replaced them with a backup from Blackburn and attacking midfielder from the Scottish league.

Fortunately for us, FH is more adept at using the players he does have instead of bemoaning the one he doesn’t. I loved RDZ, he was our best manager to date but boy was he a moaning mini.

Apparently had a bust up with Russell Martin at the end, according to Naylor anyway
I find Martin an arrogant, pretentious prick.

I don’t give a flying feck if he thinks Fab was trying to get his players booked or not. They came to rattle us and the #4 ?Downes, should have walked before half-time.

I sincerely hope he never comes anywhere near us.
