As part of my Lose the lard efforts this year I have tried to maintain a regular exercise programme, starting around a month back. Have just returned from my first 10km walk, left flat at 0500 and fell back though same doors an hour ago:thumbsup:and am well chuffed given that only three months ago a walk to the end of my road left me needing to sit down for ages.

Cheers guys. I set myself a target of walking 30 miles in a week and have reached that too, with two days to spare. Will never enter a triathlon, but will dam well lose the 100 pounds in a year even if I have to chop a few limbs off

Sounds like you are doing well. Keep it up. I need to get myself fitter again, may start cycling to work.

Well done. Did you actually WALK 10km in an hour?! Isn't that nearly running pace?
