Please explain why a good manager like Curbs prefers Simon Royce to Ben Roberts, just can't figure that out.

Because when Royce played for us a couple of seasons ago - he played four games and kept foru clean sheets. Against ARENAL, MAN URE, CHELSEA, AND NEWCASTLE. Not bad so we signed only as third choice anyway. Roberts was always injured for us - in three years only played 30 mins of first team footbal.

I think he wants out of Palace rather than the other way round. Can't blame the lad really.

Then why the mucking around? If he wants out, surely it's better than Palace get rid of him - I see little point in hanging on to a disaffected player.

We could have hung on to Zamora, but DK could see little point in holding out for more seeing that BZ would not have been motivated.

Palace would be better off bringing in someone who wanted to play for the club - if they could find someone

Gray eyes Addicks move

Julian Gray wants to realise his Premiership dream by earning a permanent contract with Charlton.

The former Crystal Palace winger was on trial with Leeds but the two clubs failed to agree a compensation fee.

Gray was a surprise inclusion for the Addicks against Peterborough when fellow trialist Stephen Hughes scored the winner.

Gray told the South London Press: "I'd like to sign for Charlton. They're a Premiership club, which is where I want to play.

"Having played for Palace, they're also local which suits me. They seem like a nice family club with a good squad of players and ambitious manager."

Anyone know anything about Julian Gray. Apparently we (CAFC) are looking closely at him with him playing a couple of pre season friendlies. All I know about him though is that he was released and Leeds lloked but could not afford. Anyone else know anything else/
