He does come off as a knob to be honest. Lots of footballers have massive egos, and they have to be pretty bad for anyone, let alone their own manager, to speak out.

Him being a very good player and him being a bit of a prick aren't mutually exclusive. Not as if this is the first mention of him being a bad character in the dressing room.
Apologies. I missed that.

Indeed, Best, Gazza, Shearer....

What has Bellers done to upset people, exactly?

He behaves like a prick. Grabbing his crotch at the Slovakia bench after his overhead kick equaliser (EQUALISER) against them. Consistent gobbing off at referees, receiving yellows AND a red card for dissent last season, then last night pursuing a 4th official after the final whistle and booting a water cooler in the air (which he also did after the Euros final), having to be hauled away by Kane.

Good player. But also a catastrophic dickhead. RM has gone to his head.

Actually, he claimed he said f*** off as an expression of frustration rather than directing it at the ref. Ancelloti explained the difference between f off and f you to the press. However, the fact he said it in response to the ref's decision doesn't give him much of a leg to stand on
Dunk was sent off once for similar.

And he's not a dick head either

Had to Google who Jobe is. Didn't realise Jude's younger brother played at all , or that he had one. Must be both very proud and tough having such a stellar big bro.

Wonder if Jobe transfer rumours start based on Jude's abilities. Mid table Championship midfielder with 45 games is a good indicator that he's got talent too. At 18.
Div 1 midfielder next year now Sunderland are up.

EDIT: Looks like Dortmund have popped back.

Blimey. Harsh is an understatement.

You‘ve clearly got to have a bit of an edge, attitude, ego etc to have done what he has done at that age. It spills over sometimes. He’s hardly a knob.

I have family in Stourbridge and have heard several good stories about him and his family. Let’s just pile in because he’s more competitive than almost all of the rest of the England squad.

His mouth constantly gets him into trouble with both England and Real Madrid, where he had the most bookings and red cards for dissent in La Liga.

This bit is very telling: “The edge needs to be channelled toward the opponent, towards our goal and not to intimidate team-mates, or to be over aggressive to team-mates or referees."

His father engineered the move from Birmingham to Sunderland as he was concerned Jobe wasn’t getting enough game time. To be fair Birmingham owed that family big time, estimates that the two brothers netted them about £43m that helped keep the club afloat during Covid and beyond. That’s less relevant now with new, wealthy owners but was highly relevant before.

Last year you asked 'what has he done?'.
Since you have evidently found out, care to share?
Being occasionally gobby to refs doesn't count, by the way.

What counts in the knob survey is:
The rest of the squad thinks he's a knob.
He has shagged one of his team mates' missus.
He had thrown up in a taxi then said 'do you know who I am?'
He has retweeted that rapey bloke, Tate.
He has 5 kids by 5 different women.
He has parked his Baby Bentley in a disabled space.
He has spoken up for his brother who did a racist murder.
And so on....

Thats something Tommy Tootle should be keeping in the dressing room I would have thought.
Very unprofessional of him.
Next he'll be bringing Ivan Toney on at 88 minutes and.......oh.

People will believe what they want to.

Even someone like Jack Grealish, who doesn’t have a great reputation, has done no end of good charitable deeds that don’t get publicised. He even paid for the funeral of the guy Paul Mitchell that attacked him on the pitch at St Andrew’s and then sadly died a few years later. Who else would do that? But the tabloid stories of Greasy getting hammered on a night out are all that most people get to (and maybe want to) hear about.

if your manager is coming out and criticising your attitude publicly, it’s an issue. If this is backed up by a poor disciplinary record, this is evidence.

I get it about Grealish, and I’m not historically his biggest fan, but some of the other stuff I’ve heard just makes you check your views on people sometimes. That’s all.

I'm not really bothered about the tabloid tittle-tattle about the off-field antics of Grealish back in the day. But Bellingham's transgressions happen in full view of everyone, in front of the cameras, on the pitch.

I'm all for seeing a bit of "pashun", but I wouldn't be overly thrilled at seeing a BHA player regularly picking up cards for dissent due to being in the officials faces, mocking the opposition bench, and booting water bottles around on his way off the field.

He appears to have morphed into a billy-big-bollocks at Madrid. Which is a pity.

He wan't and isn't.
He's easily our most important player now.

Tommy Tootle is being a bit precious.
Tommy's mum is probably racist
Kane is our most important player by an absolute mile.

If Bellingham cant play number 10, Palmer could, or Foden or Eze. We lose Kane and we are totally screwed. I think people have taken his goal scoring for granted. His numbers are absolutely insane.

I’ve formed my own opinion of him, based purely on what I’ve seen with my eyes.

He’s burst on the scene, pirouetting his way round all and sundry - untouchable at times, leading me to genuinely believe this kid was going to be one of the best players we’ve produced…

Then, top defenders and coaches started to learn how to nullify, frustrate and get the better of him… to the point he’s become a player, who if tackled, virtually erupts and loses his shit every time … tackle me? Me!!! It’s pathetic, playground bully level shit… irksome and deeply disappointing from a professional of his stature.

His antics last night, with the all female officials sum him up perfectly … he’s become another in a long line of next big thing England hopefuls, dining out on form from 2 seasons ago… who, when up against the best (as opposed to playing alongside them) fails to set the world alight.

The petulance, the rage, the I’m bigger than yow BS is awful to watch.

Moreover the example he’s setting to kids is frankly appalling.

I didn't see the game, could he have been raging at the players for not giving a shit? Maybe he was doing Tuchel's job and he didn't like it. As I say, I didn't see the game but couldn't have been good...

Yep. Always liked Grealish, once I delved into him a bit.
The absolute ease that some people buy into a negative trope,
then embellish it a bit and before you known it the person is a ******,
is f***ing staggering.
