This article suggests that Liverpool, for one, will decide in the next fortnight whether to take part, but may say no for a number of reasons; apparently teams would not be able to use anyone named in their 25-man premier league squads and all games will be played during the international breaks.

It's a 1 year trial. The competition is a total failure at the moment until the regional final stage.

Some people are so ****ing precious when it comes to change. If it doesn't work it doesn't work.
