Mourinho slams Chelsea Football Club facilities
16:21 June, 20, 2004
New Chelsea Football Club boss Jose Mourinho is unhappy with conditions at their Harlington HQ training facilities…
The former Porto coach was stunned when members of the Chelsea squad informed him of their concerns over the training ground, and he immediately went to investigate for himself.
Mourinho has since been on a short summer holiday, yet on his return on Monday he will meet up with the club and demand they spend at least £750,000 to improve the conditions at Harlington.
“Yes, I was surprised when I saw Harlington for the first time,” said Mourinho. “A top club has to be different to this – how can you expect a big player to sign for us when the have facilities of a small club?
“You want players to spend more time at training to create a good team spirit. But for that we need better conditions. Better training facilities does not win you matches but it gives you a lot of help.”
Maybe MM could offer to share our facilities
