If he wore shorts that length in the 70's he'd have been warned not to trip over them.

They're known as 'Kevin's' round here!

Definitely dodgy ground diagnosing from a sofa, but I don't mean any ill by it. Just an observation.
It kind of comes with the territory that most of the greatest in whatever field you choose to pick are neurodivergent to some degree at least. The likes of Mozart and Beethoven were definitely not wired like your average Joe.

Anyway, back to Pickford, it would at least explain a lot of his on-pitch behaviour if it were the case that he has ADHD.

It's a personal thing of course, but if high profile achievers with ADHD were to make it known, it would be a massive positive.
The thing is with ADHD you can often be in fight or flight mode, so your senses are on a different level, personally I confidently feel if I spend some time with an individual I can claim a very high diagnosis rate. But I wouldn't like to fully claim Pickford is as I haven't seen him interviewed much.
ADHD is seen very much as a naughty boy or girl condition which it can be....but all they are doing is stretching their creativity and asking for help especially in a sit down rigid culture of schools, college and uni, it is very much like a being tortured mentally in a prison while sitting in that class room for 45 mins or more.
Steven Bartlett is just one of the latest achievers to announce he is ADHD, but most go through life not looking for the diagnosis as they have never been picked up on their true strengths just their weaknesses as teacher tend to do that because they are pretty much given up help the girl wriggling in her seat and writing on her hands.

Back on topic, many sports people are doing it because they can't do school, and if they are physically gifted early at school they can get that recognition and confidence at school, many maybe later developing and don't reach the physicality until late teens.

I would like to see the academic results of the England football team against 11 people plucked from a Brighton high street and of a similar age group.........i feel there would only be one winner.
Footballers may be too scared to come out about their sexuality but wouldn't it lift 100,000s kids for them to say they have a neuro diverse brain.
