That side of the deal is being forgotton here. This could be a brilliant move for the player and Bournemouth.

I'm still SHOCKED they let Matt Richie leave....even though it was for £12m.
When we played Swindon a couple of seasons ago, I wouldn't have picked Ritchie out as a £12m player. The obscenity of these transfer fees and player wages makes me half hope that the whole circus comes crashing down.

Classic Eddie Howe signing.

Young, strong, and very quick. Josh King looked like nothing at Blackburn, but Howe fancied him and seems to play him quite regularly in the PL.

I was surprised to see Ritchie go, but if you read Bournemouth forums, he didn't appear to have driven them wild with excitement last season, so perhaps it's a good deal for them.

Ibe is all speed and strength, Ritchie is a technician and not overly suited to a high press game. Clever signing by Howe, Bournemouth will be even more attacking next season, they're signing Lewis Cook from Leeds too, very good player.
