Jon Lewis signs for Sussex (and Two Year Deal for Zaidi)

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Can't see the point of this - he's old, not played much recently, not taken many wickets when he did play recently. Is he just cover when we really need a spinner and a couple of top class batsmen to oust some of the underperforming dross we recruited last year (and Gatting who was a walking wicket).

Zaidi looked very promising when he played at the end of last season, I think he'll be pretty useful in all forms of the game. We're not a rich county (cricket wise) and have to look for talent we can afford, Chris Jordan is proof that Robbo & co know what they're doing.

In the LVCC he bowled 60 overs and took 3/154.

He did not lose his wicket (in his one and only innings), so perhaps he has been signed as a batsman.

List A - 58 overs 13/323

Twenty20 - 35 overs 8/228

Perhaps he is signing on with a view to move on to our coaching team?

He's already surpassed his LVCC wicket total from last year.

I fully expect him to slip over on a bar of soap in the showers tonight and miss the rest of the season.
