For me I would have had Stones ahead of Johnson in the World Cup.

'Ooh he's got a lovely frame' - very strange Glen Hoddle quote before the match. Really quite disturbing.

always hard to say if prospects will become future international stars
but what I have seen of this lad I am very impressed!
very comfortable on the ball have not seen enough of his
defending against top players but think this one might
make the transition.

Why are people who don't watch or read about football suprised when they don't know who players are?

But I do - that's why I was so surprised. I read the sports pages of the paper every day, I have SSN on all the time when WFH, but still I hadn't heard of him before last night.

Fair enough. He play a lot for Everton in the second half of last season, I think he played for England in one of the pre-World CUp friendlies ( he trained with the squad as an extra) and a lot has been written about him being 'one to watch'.
