[I like massive Wood.]

Hi, haven't really browsed this site since league one days (massive wood was reference to big Chris, obviously), I just wanted to mention that I now love big Joel. He just always goes under the radar, he's lowkey wind up, and other fans barely know of him.

I feel he deserves a little chant (I've not heard one so far this season?) Was thinking perhaps a rendition of Michel Kuipers chant - Joel Veltman A Super Dutch Machine, just to maybe get the ball rolling.

Agree? Disagree? Over rated?

I think Joel is well appreciated by Brighton fans. I can't remember many if any sub-par performances and I wish he'd started against Arsenal. I am pretty sure the scoreline would have been different, in our favour.

As for songs .... "The First Joel?" "Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na VELTMAN?" (Can never understand why none of my suggestions catch on.)

Very much like our other bargain signing mentioned on here, Pascal Gross.

Both seemingly more than happy to churn out sonsistent performances, and without seeking the plaudits or the limelight.

I've said before, he's the most professional professional we've ever had and an absolute master in the dark arts of defending.

It's rather nice l think, to have a player in our side who isn't always . . . quite so nice.

The best Albion LB, more than Cuckoorella, was imho Wayne Bridge. Genuinely world class Ashley Cole prevented him winning more than his 36 England caps.

He effortlessly covered ground with ridiculous pace.
