No interest in going over the same debate from three or so years ago, I'm pleased he seems to be getting his career back on track.

Check your facts, Adams dropped him and Lynch rightly asked why Adams hoofing useless signing was picked instead. Adams plays long balll, Lynch would have suited Poyet but never and Adams or "Harry" Bassett or Graham Taylor of this world type manager.

He left because Hawkins was picked ahead of him by that insane Adams bloke.

Lynch was unfit and injured, wasn't he? Hawkins did nothing to warrant being dropped and then Lynch threw a fit. Certainly not one to defend Adams, but that is how I remember it.

Regardless of not getting picked the fact was he handed the request in just THREE games or so into the season - which suggests a poor barry big balls attitude - a better man / player would've at least given it a few months into the season and fought for their place...

Ddn't Lynch also SLAG the club off on facebook and get caught?!

Exactly, Sheebo.

There are some players that earn a move (blood, sweat and tears) to a better club and there are some players that expect a move to a better club. Lynch seemed to fall into the latter category.

In rehab
At the time we had an old school style english manager - Micky Adams. MA liked players that were "one of the lads", and that would run around alot. A cultured football therefore was not at the time going to want to be a Brighton. Thankfully we now have Poyet, and running around alot and being one of the lads is not as important as passing the ball to a bloke in the same shirt. Shame we lost him, but was a case of the wrong manager not understanding what he had, hence he dropped Lunch for some 3rd divisoion type clogger, that probably was one of the lads

You nailed it

Lynch style would fit perfectly into Poyet's football. A younger version of Greer who likes to pass it out of defence. As for Adams his style finished years ago and Sheff Utd are in deep trouble with him. There only saving grace is there are 3 worse sides then them.

There was NOTHING 'cultured' about Lynch. What are people on?
He was at his most cultured when he could sit in the north stand and watch without acting the bigtime charlie.

But Cox was the one everyone got on that case about, wasn't he?
Oh but do some of you have weird specs. One lad is under the microscope of criticism (Tony Towner in the 70's, Cox, Whing, el-Abd in recent day), while others are 'excused' or even adored for being toilet (Maybank - omg he was shite. Lynch, donkey)

He was rubbish with us. He had a bad attitude. He got skinned by Mansfield's forwards, twice for a cup match we lost when Mansfield were bottom of the league.

That was the game though where it came out afterwards that flu had ripped through the team, and lynch was one of the ones suffering, but still played. I remember the Mansfield guy turning him inside out twice for goals. Rather than "he was not that good" more a case of "he was poorly coached and managed".

Ifs and buts though.

Now for some bizarre reason the manager of championship side Sheff Utd!

For me Lynch was a good player and i believe one who would get on in our current set up, it suits his style, however for the above, no thanks, time to move on. A phrase I was once told - "never go back" - most true.

a poor barry big balls attitude - :lolol::lolol::lolol:
