Less than there were, now that Gregory and Curbishley have departed.

Just been reading 606, load of Newcastle fans in uproar.

The common call in the posts are "Where are the Nigerian buyers"

What a sorry sorry state premiership football is in when a club as loyally followed and worshipped as Newcastle is begging for a takeover buy a Nigerian business consortium. :nono:

Apparently Mike Ashley's secretary misheard him yesterday on his way out the door:

"I've had it with them, fax the lawyers love, get them to sort out The Sun and the manager position, I'll want £500,000, I'm not jokin' 'ere..."

He's only there for five weeks apparently, but oh my days. Why? And seriously, I did think he was dead, and I'm not confusing him with dear old Roy. Thought he had a heart attack a couple of years ago.

i have nothing against Wise (and really dont undersatn why others do), but this really isnt clever. Not only Kinnear, but they dont even appoint him permenant??? why doesn Wise just take over? and how is Ashley going to get his investment back if the club is fighting relegation? wierd.

We haven't seen a Geordie soap opera like this since Byker Grove.

You couldn't make this stuff up, you really couldn't. Whatever next? A consortium led by Robert Mugabe with Malcolm McDonald at the helm, Sid Waddell as his No. 2 and The Likely Lads taking training?

Kinnear has just been on TalkSPORT and said he believes that Shearer and Keegan will be in charge within the next few weeks.

Unbelievable

In the field
The fans up here are simply speechless.

I have just been for a pint in a pub near St.James' Park and the mood is one of disbelief. There is not really much anger floating around but there is more a sense of bewilderment.

There is talk of another boycott this Saturday.
