It all depends on the teachers and school of course but my experience of it with my daughter in Year 3 was very bad. Both teachers saw it as an opportunity to be slack, the kids built up no rapport or respect with either and both passed the buck to each other - it wasn't until parents day mid way through the year that we discovered that none of her homework had been marked. It set the class back very badly and it took them the next two years to catch up.

It can work I am sure but my advice would be to keep a closer eye on it than you would if it was just one teacher.
