So where is Joao off to.?...............It aint gonna be here.
Kerching!
It's such a massive decision: career and potential glory, or so much money you can feed half of Brazil.Er.....it's a f***ing puddle, not a pond. Fish can die in it.
It depends whether he can take off his shirt, twirl it around, and chant “Yerksheer! Yerksheer!” all at the same time.Leeds United anyone made for each other.
So what did happen? Did JP lamp him one, give him verbals, chop him down at the knees? So much intrigue - someone please reveal. That there was an 'incident' in training.
Our other forwards. That will be the same for every good player we have to replace. We can only buy good replacements and ask them to do the job.We don’t have anyone close to his numbers apart from Mitoma’s so who is going to replace his contributions?
I don't get why the general feeling in our fanbase seems to be happy to get shot of him. I think he's class, and he's got us out of a hole many times. I will be very sad to see him go. He's a brilliant player. How much has Pedro improved since you signed him from Watford? You guys don't see so sorry to see him leaving.
I'm not quite as enthused as majority of our fanbase it would seem, and hope we pass on him. Don't understand why we are going back in for him at double price and 4 times the wage demands as to what was on offer in 2022. Is he really that good?
Can’t really read anything into those last few games nice to win although most of those sides were done for the season. What was worrying Liverpool and Spurs wasn’t great until Mitoma came on before that point we weren’t very good.Hear what you’re saying, but whilst I do accept he would be a loss, we looked stronger without him in those last games.
Certainly not denying his contribution and undoubtedly ability, but I think Fab stumbled over a solution that made us better/stronger, particularly out of possession following his sending off.
Agree with the previous point around training.
I think it's more a general feeling that he's going, just that. So, if that's what is going to happen, OK, shrug shoulders and get on with it. As others have said, we've had some good results without him.I don't get why the general feeling in our fanbase seems to be happy to get shot of him. I’ve read he’s not even that good on hereI don't get why the general feeling in our fanbase seems to be happy to get shot of him. I think he's class, and he's got us out of a hole many times. I will be very sad to see him go. He's a brilliant player.
In all honesty, I suspect it's an element of self-protection against his seemingly inevitable departure. There was a time earlier this season when I genuinely thought he was totally unplayable: quick, powerful, motivated and direct, with an eye for a killer pass. He's a phenomenal talent with room to improve. I don't think any of us want that version of the player gone.I don't get why the general feeling in our fanbase seems to be happy to get shot of him. As long as he's OK at football, his performance on NSC is of lesser concern to me.I’ve read he’s not even that good on here![]()

Pros: Money, crowds are only about 40 people, so he can get them up individually if needed.
Cons: Top flight career is essentially dead, kiss goodbye to the Brazil national team, it's the main centre for sports washing, crowds are only about 40 people.
In all honesty, if the Saudi Crown wants him, I'd much rather he go to Saudi than to their outpost up north.
How big are the crowds usually?
If you believe the numbers.View attachment 203859
By way of comparison, that's slightly below League One's average of 10k and slightly above League Two's average of 6k

Agree re Mitoma (would be a far bigger loss than Pedro IMO).Can’t really read anything into those last few games nice to win although most of those sides were done for the season. What was worrying Liverpool and Spurs wasn’t great until Mitoma came on before that point we weren’t very good.
I thought the same but I was equally frustrated by him as he seems to only show that kind of control when we're winning/drawing. I think he starts to get frustrated and lose the shape of the team by trying too much himself. In all honesty, I suspect it's an element of self-protection against his seemingly inevitable departure. If the barcodes want JP, that can only mean you’re preparing to lose Isak to the Reds. Can you handle the loss?First I'm hearing of this. Someone should look into that then.
Thanks for the replies. Remember Ben Foster always saying that he's some boy and going to be incredible player. Was never that impressed with him when we were in for him from Watford, so probably always had that view of him. See he's a good penalty taker (so is Isak), but 5 non penalty goals didn't jump out to me.
He'd defiantly receive a warm welcome to the club by our current Brazilians Bruno and Joelinton.
Can see that he's a similar profile to Isak, in that he's capable playing all across the front line and comfortable in wide position. Reading between the lines from sources of varying reputations, seems that Howe wants to play more of a 4-2-3-1/4-4-2 next year. Few months ago it was reported that we'd been tracking Gyokeres before he'd actually shot to prominence, and Howe thought he'd be best to get even more from Isak (Swedish connection I guess).
Regarding the fees being asked - no problem with clubs asking the moon on a stick from us - we'd do the same, to be expected and has to be factored into our recruitment. So far we've got far better value to quality in the players we've got from Europe. Whilst our recruitment has been near faultless all round - Tonali, Bruno, Isak, Botman have all been pound for pound incredible buys from Euro market. Why I've been reticent at thought of us spending out these big fees on Pedro or Elanga this summer, was same really with Gordon fee back in Jan 23.
Bound to be a few players that come into the PL this summer that become the next set of £50M, 70M, £100M transfers in 12-24 months. Be nice if we were in those recruitment markets rather than being blindly focused on whats on our doorstep. Like Bournemouth and you guys are doing I guess
Or it could mean they are beefing up their squad for the expanded European competitions? If the barcodes want JP, that can only mean you’re preparing to lose Isak to the Reds. Can you handle the loss?
