Showing my age again I thought it was going to talk about a footballer when I opened the thread

She had slipped under my radar, had a listen to a few bits of her songs and I'm out.

I've seen her live, and I can tell you she can belt out a tune, none of that autotune sh!t.
Cannot believe she was the warm up act for the Old Spice Girls, should've been other way around???

Why do users come into threads like this again and again to announce they don’t like/know popular culture?

It’s no reflection on the award-winning, multimillion-selling, arena-touring artist, is it?

You’re just saying you’re out of touch. We get it. Try the 78rpm thread.

I doubt I could name 10 number one hits from the last 10 years and I love music. Maybe turning Radio One off as soon as I hear it and realise what station it is doesn’t help

Can someone help me out with a few genuinely excellent reasonably recent number ones that will stand the test of time (I’m sure there will be some)
Sure. I’ll pick out 10 that I think will become “hits from 2010’s” on a BBC2 documentary in 2030.

Shape of You - Ed Sheeran
Shallow - Lady GaGa with Bradly Cooper
Someone Like you - Adele
Somebody That I used to know - Gotye
One Kiss - Calvin Harris ft Dua Lipa
Get Lucky - Daft Punk ft Pharrell Williams
Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars
We Found Love - Rhianna & Calvin Harris
Rather Be - Clean Bandit ft Jess Glynn
Titanium - David Guetta ft Sia

Great list. I mean they're 'obvious', of course, but proper bangin' hits.

Edit: Oh, you left off Happy - Pharrell Williams (again).

Loving you being the self appointed thread police. It’s a discussion forum, do we have to be au fait before we can comment?

I have quite a few 78s on my old fashioned wind up phonograph. I may go and listen to Love and Marriage by a young Frank Sinatra. It actually has what look like a small nail on the arm that drops onto on the records. Shocked it works so well.

Tickets booked. For Sandown in August for a big present.
I’m worried about her and this big present that I paid good money for as a Christmas prezzie. Should I worry or is a daft question?

Yeah but who the feck is she?

I've never heard of her in my life and i'm in my early 30's.

Most people around my age don't follow the charts. Those days have been and gone, and anyway, I always had chart music down as something for the kids?

So do the OAP's still follow the charts ?

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I am out of touch.

Who is she and why should I care?

Even if you don't know who she is, if you have a TV you will almost certainly heard of her - even if you don't know it.

She provides the soundtrack for this commercial...

Is that what you want really really want

Not without some “Zig a zig ah” Which, it turns out, is what the Spice girls actually want

Ms Glynne, on the other hand is only happy when she has enough bugle to keep the Colombian economy in the black.
