And the views of their MP's constituents are largely towards the centre. I would also think that it is their job to represent those who voted for them in other seats that were lost. Labour is one of the largest two parties and its voters will want them winning elections and running the country, not being a quirky alternative like UKIP, so they'll want them appealing to enough voters to win. The concern of many Labour voters will be that Corbyn is too far left to win the power to change our country.

Many, who may have voted for JC's Labour, did not vote. Many voted SNP. Or UKIP

we already do. its only a few % lower than the EU average, but many want to run down our country or compare us to Germany. what many (the same probably) believe is there are millions of jobs here, when as you observe the move is to high end, specialised products that dont require the man power of old. the irony is those same people are often agains the service sector, failing to recognise that area is one that offers greater employment opportunities for a vast majority of the population.

the family bit takes it too far, but when two policies are print money and reduce armed forces, Corbyn has created a large target that will be easily hit for a large proportion of the population.
It does seem a very negative and defensive stance when another election is five years away.

The right wing press will lap it up and go with it, though, repeatedly, boringly...and some on here will bring this mantra up, thinking that they have come up with it themselves. Sadly, the only way to regenerate our manufacturing base to compete on a global level, is to pay rock bottom salaries,....not something that we can sustain here due to the general cost of living......a conundrum indeed.

No no it isn't. For example, Finland has higher wages than the UK but they have a successful ship building industry worth around 20 billion euros. Make things the LCC can't make, or make things they need.
