Sorry, can't find the thread - or maybe I'm just imagining things in my old age - but wasn't there some talk recently about us having an interest in a Japanese player? Anyone put me right on that, or have any updates?

He’s in their Olympic team. I’m sure he was weirdly older - like 26/27 and the rumour was he’d go straight on loan to Tony’s Belgian side. Strange one if I’ve got the age right.

Thanks for the info. Pity we have to wait (presumably) a year to get him in - looks a much better 'punt' than shelling out £20M fr a striker with a CV about the same as 18 goals in two seasons Maupay.
