I think the idea behind Caicedo is to be that player after next (not Bissouma's replacement)

Then after we've flogged Caicedo for £100m in 5 years, it will be Jenks, then Moran to take the mantle. The pipeline you referred to is very much already in place.

I think that's exactly right. It's just another example of why the club is run so well, with an ongoing plan and one eye on the future.

Must admit I really like the look of Moder. Good age and size and seems increasingly comfortable on the ball. A bit like Veltman a less expensive but shrewd signing.

In 5 years time we'll be in the champions league, and nobody will want to leave...

Well, we might as well be optimistic.

We need Webster to swap squad numbers with Moder. Then we can sing;
"Jakub Mo-der number four, halleluuuujah..."

Someone scream for the "Song Police!"

If he could give us a little jig, like Biss does, his song could be,”It’s Modor on the dance floor, so you better not lose the ball”

Won’t be long before we’re singing his name in the North stand to the tune of... the Macarena.

He came from Poznań and his name is Jakub Moder
He came to Brighton to play for Graham Potter
He’s a bit like a lanky Polish Yves Bissouma
Hey Jakub Moder... aie!

Another shout out for Moder.

A generally poor performance from the team today, but nothing really to play for so fair enough.

However, Moder again stood out today, imo. As well as Bissouma.

When Biss moves on, I can see Moder moving into CM. He's still a bit raw but has all the attributes IMO. Rangy, good on the ball, good energy, can put a foot in. I like him a lot.

I wouldn’t expect him to be as good as Yves next year, it’ll take time.

But he can definitely make headway. Just needs plenty of game minutes.

I can see Moder, Alzate, Lallana and Caicedo battling for the central two midfielder spots next season.
Moder will only improve. I thought that Alzate has done well over the last three games.
The real interesting one will be Caicedo. Hopefully a good pre- season will put him in contention. He's the player that seems most like Bissouma. He's incredibly strong for his age, great stamina and a good football brain. We pipped Man United for his signature, and at 19 is a full Ecuidorian international. We'll integrate him carefully as we did Moder.
