yesterday he could of made a difference. whenever the ball was in the box, there wasn't that nippy little forward who can pick up on the scraps. jake can do that. there was one instance in the first half when revell won a header, but williams just didnt gamble on him winning it, so it was an easy pick up for the keeper. one thing robinson does have is the anticipation, off the ball he is superb - someone who can make a decent off the ball run can open up the space and actually give an option for our players to find, as soposed to the traditional butters chip forward

the other thing is - we will never see the best of robinson unless he gets a run in the team. he needs to be given 10 games to get going. you just have to look at the current top scorer in our division for the prove of this - will hoskins. 19 years old, he has been knocking on the door of the rotherham first team for several years now, since exploding onto the scenes with 2 goalsd against wigan a while back. at the back end of the last season and the start of this one, he was givne a run of games, and although it has taken a bit of time, has notched 8 goals now

trouble is it would appear we are so desperate for results that the team is chopped and changed every week. we need to select, in particular, a front 2, and stick with them so they can get used to playing with each other.

robinson and revell is the answer - just unfortunate that if the rumours are true, jake will never gwet a decent run in the team while dean white is here

what rumours ?

spill the beans - this is exactly the place for rumours ...............

I heard he is simply not a very mature lad - and not really up to the rigours of the professional game. So we either wait or let him move on. As he costs very little I suggest we be patient.

apparenlty mr white is not a fan of jakes - hence why he has figured sparingly since the two deans came into the job

out formation doesnt give us the iption of jake , 4 3 3 is virtually 4 5 1 with revell wide right + Cox trying to be everywhere

Thing is , McGhee played revell wide right which is a unique thing to do, For Wilkins to do it as well suggests he hasnt his own ideas

Nothing to do with Jake playign or not. Was baout tactics. Fowards have to play close toegther to work.... Jake would have been as useless as the rest because of the tactics. Please let's not start a bring back jakey thing again... he hasn't done much when given the chance and I haven't heard him scoring for the reserves.

I think I agree with you on this.

i agree re the formation. crap teams can do well if they are extremely organised - you only have to look at greece winning the euros and macedonia on saturday to see this.

433 ony works if you have wide players who have the ability to beat players for fun and midfielders who have the ability to arrive late in the box and finish any opportunities.

What i dont understand is why we have persisted with this formation when it clearly does not play to our strengths.

442 is the hardest system to break down and the easiest to play, with Hinsh back now we have an ok back line.

Revell and Robinson, Molango or Willaims will work. 433 wont.

Hallelujah. 4-3-3 has to be banished from the magnetic board.

Surely the community club will listen to the fans and ditch this ridiculous formation?

Jake Robinson is not physically or mentally mature enough for the job of being a professional footballer

could he make it as a barrow boy?

Rumour has it that Jakey is a very poor trainer. Where he should be busting a gut he is lazy.

I DO feel that Jake should be given a run in the team but if he is just fooling around in traing when others are trying to catch deans eye then understandably he is going to be left on the sidelines.

I'm not being funny, but Thierry Henry wouldn't have made any difference to us yesterday, because everybody else was that bad.

Let's not pretend that Jake Robinson could have been any better when he has hardly set the division alight either.

i heard he was going out on loan

whats the point though, 'Shots didn't do him any good did it

i still think he needs to work on his upper body strength whilst holding onto his speed , that could and should be improved on the training ground

.

Would have done with Sol Campbell and Patrick Viera.

This shows we need a new spine.

Central Defender
Central Midfield
Central Striker

What will we get a defender, midfielder and striker from The Central (as was ) in Worthing.
