The only trouble would be that you can't play Jake and Leon together as they are both shorter than my missus.

what if we played leon, jakey and mrs dougdeep upfront

then would it be ok?

Yep, as well as Jake and Hinsh played today, they will not be in the starting 11 at Wigan next week, Charlie and Leon will come in - that's a cert. The interesting selection debates will be Harding-Mayo, Kuipers-Roberts.

Thats because there was no one supporting him which isn't his fault

Have they got to be in his pocket can he not look to where he is trying to head the ball? I thought that his overall play was good but the one critiscm is of his winning headers and then doing nothing with them.

How many times do players go up for a header and the ball actually goes where they want?

Not very often.

It's almost like the 2nd ball situation you see a player go up for a challenge and you would like to have a team mate close by for when the ball eventually drops.

i think roberts will be back in the side when fit and mayo maybe should stay in a bit longer as we need our defence to be strong at the moment and with harding in it sounded a bit weak

thought michel was fantastic 2day after a shaky start and kept us in the game at 1 0! as 4 mayo staying in the team 2 keep the defence strong r u aving a laugh? ok granted he did better than tuesday night but dont think he is an important player defensivly and there cant b a full back in the country with worse distrabution than kerry!

I'd rather have Jake in the team than Leon, who to be honest only scored pens in the second half of last season.

cant believe ppl want Kuipers and jake to replace leon and kuipers.

kuipers is a shot stopper and no more.
roberts commands that third of the field.

robinson shows promise.
leon can be dynamite.

And do what with it? Everytime the same answer nothing.

Very harsh.

What he did when jumping in front of their defenders to get a glancing header on the ball was to try to create something. If he didn't do that, the defender picks the ball up and they gain possession.

If no-one's there to react to his knock-on, that's not his fault.

If he was stood around doing f*** all just watching, by all means have a go at him. The fact is, he caused them problems, and in his first full match that I've seen, did very well.

His link-up play was good, came for the ball, collected and laid it off well. I can't think of a time when he mis-placed a pass either.

One last point, I thought he was always on the look out for opportunities. Making runs to pick up if mistakes were made by the defenders. In other words, thinking about being in the right place at the right time.

For a 17 year old lad, I thought he played with a lot of maturity. If we can keep him, he will be a very good player for us in the next 12-24 months.
