Jake Robinson

Can anyone throw any light on what has happened to young Jake Robinson? In the first team games in which he has featured, he has looked by far and away the most naturally talented player that I have seen since Peter Ward. So why isn't he, at the very least, on the bench? And why hasn't Dick Knight yet offered him a contract? It's time that we got our priorities right and started to foster the homegrown talent that we undoubtedly have at the club.

Due to his age the club has subscribed to the theory that he should be protected as he is so young. Everton are doing the same with Rooney. Personally I think this theory is crap crap crap. Imagine if Brazil adopted the same policy... they'd never be anywhere like the force they are or have been.
