f*** me, NSC is supposed to be a forum for Brighton supporters. The season is over; a season where the team have done pretty well & still clowns want to pick on & slate individual players. f*** sake!

Why so angry? Yes, it's a forum for supporters to give their opinions, and that's what people are doing. Yes the team has done well, but people are still very much allowed to say what they think. Only because you don't agree with it. Personally I don't think Robinson is very good at all, I'm not slating him, just giving my opinion (which you don't agree with).

What complete and utter rubbish whenever either one gets the ball they look for each other. They have played together for years and know each others game inside out.

Cox will hit a 40 yd ball into an empty space and know that JR will chase it or be already on his way to that spot.

Thats the problem though, isn't it. Cox will only look for Robinson and as such misses opportunites to play other people in. They know each others game too well.

You miss the point. I'm not saying they don't look for each other a lot. I'm not saying if that's a good or a bad thing either. What I am saying is that if you play Robinson and Cox, half of our midfield is instantly extremely lightweight. There is also NO defensive help for the full-backs from those in front of him (something I think Westlake is good at). Teams simply battle and muscle us out of the game. I am a great Robinson fan, and since Cox has been on the right I have become quite a supporter of his too, but I would never play them together.

Top post but would still keep Jake as he IS a good player who is a very useful Sub/cover

I agree. Next season, I would basically tell them both they are fighting over one place. That place would be right-winger. I would start the season with Cox, and Robinson on the bench, but I think there is an arrogance to Cox (which is, in some ways I suppose, good) so I would say to him that if his form drops for even a couple of matches, he'll be out and Robinson will take his place. That puts Cox under the pressure I think he lacks and needs, and possibly a little more focused as his place is no longer guaranteed. It also makes Robinson desperate to win his place back, as his contract will be up at the end of next season, so he's in effect playing for his future.

That makes very good sense andi think Robinson and Cox need to start going for goal as the midfield only scored 18 in the league games this season.

Personaly I would get rid soon as, cant defend which leaves the right back exposed, adds no competetive edge to the midfield and fails to deliver going forward.

Would be a good signing for the Aldershots of this world, not us looking to compete at the right end of league 1 or the championship.

I really like Jake as a player, and feel he has been given a bit of a rough deal from some people on here. Remember that yesterday was his first start in a LONG time,a nd with more first team action next season who knows what role he has to play?

Every side has one of those frustrating players who are tolerated for their mediocrity because of those special days when they are quite brilliant.

Jake does not have any of those special days and I would love him just to put in a mediocre performance.

I presume he is contracted next season, but after that ?

I think his performance away at Orient when he came on proved what a good player he is.He he performed half that good normally he would be a useful player.I wouldn't like to see him go.

And Also, It's Like Wilkins has a Love Affair with is old youth team players. it always seems to take him until the 85th+ minute to take any one of them off. Maybe he loses Track of Time

I think there lies the problem BRIGHT ON Q. That 20 minutes is the only good spell that springs to mind whenever his qualities are disgusted.

I disagree with that. Without looking up the stats I'm pretty sure Robinson rarely starts for Wilkins - usually a sub. Sam Rents hasn't had a look in - when I think his last game early in the season resulted in him getting an assist for the winner?

Yes, that is what happens. He isn't good, he's very, very average and is too light weight, is pushed off the ball too easily, and generally doesn't do much in a game (apart from those rare ocassions he may have an influence, which is what people remember).

So he should be playing because he got an assist for a goal ONE time :glare:
