The only reason no-one will offer 30m for him this summer is that they'd be laughed out of the building by every single one of the people who make our footballing decisions.

He's easily worth that to this club.
Jacks an interesting one. I rate him highly, he’s a top talent and fits our style perfectly. But I struggle to picture him playing elsewhere.

Players like Trossard, Mitoma, or Caicedo etc all have standout traits that make them easy to scout. Jack’s more subtle. He doesn’t jump off the page in data terms, which might make him less “transferable” if you will but he just fits our style and identity perfectly. I can see him staying here for years.

Hard to disagree actually.

I remember ages ago RDZ something along the lines of JH not being a youth player, but being a first team player. Imagine the confidence that would’ve given an 18 year old lad for your manager to say publicly to the media after making a handful of appearances in an injury plagued side. He’s gone from strength to strength since.

I'd say his standout trait is his football intelligence, he plays like someone who's been around for ages. I'm also starting to think he might be one of the best finishers I'm the squad, especially in the box.

Ball retention, use of the ball, wide range of passing, instinctively in the right places without following the running herd.

Agreed. All qualities difficult to quantify in modern data analysis.

Player we missed most the backend of the previous season, finding goals from nowhere...... really has a knack of being in the right place at right time and pretty calm.

I’ve been away this weekend and completely out of signal but I’m not surprised he played up front and scored two. He’s quite clearly got a real knack for finishing.

I've said a few times that he reminds me of David Platt. Decent player with the ball, but has a great knack of popping up in front of goal with time and space

I had him down as a header of goals. Turns out he's got nimble feet too.

Jack's the most versatile young player in the Prem... a veritable Swiss Army Knife. backline, midfield, forward- he's contributed all over the pitch. Not the quickest, fastest, strongest, or most talented- but perhaps our most intelligent + instinctual player. Also- a true teammate who exudes joy when others do well. Future captain.

Yes so basically the go to man when we have injuries and can cover anywhere ( prob not in goal but who knows)
Not sure he would get in the team when we have no injuries and all other players fit bought for those specific positions though.

First time up front and he scores 2..
He's a wonderful versatile player and I'm hoping he can bring out the best for his cousin Harry Howell too..
I'm hoping Milner or Lallana will become our u21 coach

He’s taking the Groß role - name goes on the teamsheet, position gets allocated later
