Also: when was the last time one of our players scored twice from a corner in the same game?
I put that first and thought two goals from corners was rare enough, surely it's never happened with the SAME player...

Probably a £30m player already (English, 20 years old, scores goals, versatile, only going to get better).

I wonder what the academy system has cost over the years. Might Jack's value outstrip that total cost? And I wonder how much higher he could go?
Hard one to value. I’d be shocked if we sold him for £30m. But at the same time I’d be surprised if anyone offered more than £30m this summer.

Totally agree. I wasn't suggesting g we sell him.

I was saying that we have what is (conservatively) a £30m player "for free". Well not for free, but for the cost of the academy, which (I'm guessing) hasn't cost us £30m in the last 10 years.

Quickly become my favourite player. Absolutely love him. The modern day James Milner or Gary Hart and I mean that in the most complementary way.

Yep, I think he’ll always get a lot of goals.

I know he’s been compared to Gross but he reminds me of another German - Thomas Muller. Like Muller, Jack doesn’t have any physical characteristics that particularly stand out but he has a similar appreciation of space and a football brain meaning he finds himself in good positions time and again - it’s not a coincidence. Could see Jack playing further forward more often when we need goals or have injuries up front.
Completely agree. I was thinking this yesterday but didn’t quite have the bollocks to make the shout 😂😂.

A “Raumdeuter” for those FM players amongst us.

The PL goal scoring, often vital goals, is a trait that may be impossible to acquire. To me at least £50m already.

Played out of position at RB, we haven’t seen as much of him as we should in his CM roles, or his wonderful range of passing.

It may have been Bert Addinall back in 1953-54 season. I have this vague memory of being behind the goal in the North Stand seeing him bundle goalie (as they were called in those days) into the whilst the ball was in hand. In those days it was Frankie Howard on one wing and 'Flash' Gordon on the other both great corner takers. Now I'm sure the situation happened twice in one game - but bear with me if my memory is incorrect as I was only 7 years old into my second season.

I've said a few times that he reminds me of David Platt. Decent player with the ball, but has a great knack of popping up in front of goal with time and space

The only reason no-one will offer 30m for him this summer is that they'd be laughed out of the building by every single one of the people who make our footballing decisions.

He's easily worth that to this club.
