Game wasn't over, got to give it to your best penalty taker (that is not on the naughty step).
I agree. It’s a professional football match in one of the best league’s in the world. Small club mentality would be to give the home grown lad the chance to score a hat-trick rather than make the sporting decision to let your best penalty taker on the field take it.

Hinsh has a very good eye for goal and the ability to be in the right place at the right time. Very useful attributes indeed.
Yep, I think he’ll always get a lot of goals.

I know he’s been compared to Gross but he reminds me of another German - Thomas Muller. Like Muller, Jack doesn’t have any physical characteristics that particularly stand out but he has a similar appreciation of space and a football brain meaning he finds himself in good positions time and again - it’s not a coincidence. Could see Jack playing further forward more often when we need goals or have injuries up front.

It's about time we had a player like that.

He's been my player of the season, alongside Baleba, who has been immense.

The fact JH is a home grown local lad barely out of his teens, plays with the intelligence and experience of your Lallana/MIlner types is quite astounding.

He will get a decent amount of goals for the club. What impresses me more is his one touch passing in tight spaces in a congested midfield. As close to a Gross regen as we could have hoped for, and a local lad too
His awareness of players around him and space, plus his positioning is exceptionally good……rarely misplaces a pass or loses the ball. Ridiculous talent for his age.

Probably a £30m player already (English, 20 years old, scores goals, versatile, only going to get better).

I wonder what the academy system has cost over the years. Might Jack's value outstrip that total cost? And I wonder how much higher he could go?
