Very pleased for the lad, playing Central defence as an 18 year old takes some balls from RDZ especially after a difficult away game at Villla, keeps improving and clearly has abrught future.

For those picking apart his performances and highlighting errors, I think you need to wind your necks in IMO. Ferguson has had plenty of poor games but as a striker going missing in games rarely leads to concession of goals. Much like Van Hecke has, he's improving and growing in confidence.

Off the line, then back of the net. The kids technique is quality, not the quickest, tallest or strongest, it doesn't matter if you have class and focus.....ask Pascal.
Roberto has just called Jack, son of Groß. He is learning from him all the time.

What's the over/under on 20+ man of the match awards in the epl?
Let's not get carried away just yet. Neat and tidy today. Good goal. But very early days. Made another big error just before being hauled off.

Very early days. Surpassed my expectations so far after his early showings.
